The liquor is a sweet, aromatized with herbs and fruits, alcoholic drink. It is traditional in Portugal to be consumed among friends as an appetizer or digestive after a meal. Elaborated with ancient recipes passed by generation to generation since the beginning of the century. In the manufacturing process are not used artificial aroma or any type of brandy as base, just pure alcohol, where the fruits or plants infuse for as long as they need to acquire the colour and the taste.
